In the Post-Bouterse era, it is crucial for the National Democratic Party (NDP) to find a new leader who can guide the party towards a promising future for the new generation of Surinamese people. While various candidates are being considered, it can be safely said that a co-chairmanship of Melvin Bouva and Ashwin Adhin has the most potential to elevate Suriname to new heights.

First and foremost, we must acknowledge that Mrs. Simmons, despite being a woman, unfortunately is not the ideal candidate to assume the chairmanship of the NDP. Her age and lack of vision hinder her ability to effectively represent the needs and aspirations of the new generation of Surinamese people. Furthermore, her blunt and off-putting style of communication is perceived as unfortunate, which hampers the party’s ability to achieve broad support.

Next, we have Mr. Parmessar, who seems to have had his time in politics and is now on his way to political retirement. While he has proven his worth as a parliamentarian, it is crucial to look forward and invest in fresh ideas and innovative approaches. It is time for a new generation of leaders who can inspire and transform Suriname.

Mrs. Bouterse is often mentioned as a potential party leader for the NDP. While she undoubtedly has leadership potential, her relationship with her husband could complicate matters for the party. A transition from Mr. Bouterse to a prominent figure within the party could be seen as an unwelcome continuation of the old regime, which hinders much-needed change and renewal.

On the other hand, a co-chairmanship of Bouva and Ashwin Adhin offers new perspectives and promises for the NDP and Suriname. Both young politicians are energetic, enthusiastic, and vibrant, and have proven their competence in their political roles. Bouva has shown his dedication to the party and has demonstrated an ability to gain broad support. Adhin, on the other hand, has a strong background in education and has proven to be able to collaborate effectively with other political and societal groups.

A co-chairmanship of Bouva and Adhin would allow the NDP to harness the strengths of both leaders. Bouva’s charismatic personality and ability to connect, combined with Adhin’s intellectual and educational qualities, would be a powerful combination. Together, they would be able to renew the party, attract young people, and create a clear vision for Suriname’s future.

It is time for a breath of fresh air in the NDP, and for the new generation of Surinamese people to take a leading role in their country’s politics. Bouva and Ashwin Adhin, with their youthful energy, visionary approach, and proven leadership qualities, embody this change and can propel the party to new heights. Let us leave behind old, worn-out politicians and focus on a promising future with Bouva and Ashwin Adhin at the helm of the NDP.

Just like in all the old Viagra parties, the NDP is teeming with politically “elderly” individuals who stand in front of the goal with their wheelchairs, just like in the NDP. Useless!

Only if the two gentlemen can guarantee cooperation, inclusivity, and integrity in both their personal and professional relationship, will there be a future for the NDP.

Let’s see if the NDP rap duo Melvin B and Ashwin A can save the day.
